Welcome to Black Sheep Quilt Company - located at 1265 US Hwy 10 Suite 4, Detroit Lakes, MN! We are tucked in the corner of the
West Ten Plaza between C&G Hair Envy and H&R Block! We have a small square Black Sheep Sign on the top corner as well as our sandwich board out daily to guide your way!
We are so excited to serve the Detroit Lakes Area and are staffed with knowledgeable quilters who are actively involved in the surrounding communities and enjoy sharing their love for quilting with everyone who walks through our doors.
We believe everyone is capable of creating beautiful quilts and sewing projects and love to see your completed projects. WE think outside the box at the Black Sheep Quilt Company and put together unique projects using our staff's design choices.
Classes
Join us January 11 from 1pm-3pm in revealing your Island Hopping Quilts! This is a fun way to get together with your fellow mystery quilters and see the fun and unique differences in all of the quilts! This is a FREE event!

$10 to sew for the day, use of classroom cutting mats & irons. Machine rental is available if needed, $20 for the day (10am - 4pm) - thread not included. Reserve your spot for open sewing at the shop.

Come learn how to make a project bag that holds all the things! You will learn tips, tricks & techniques to make this bag in a day. Class includes instruction and pattern.

Join us for a Monday beginner quilting class and leave with a finished table runner! If you missed our last Beginner Quilting Class, here is your chance! Join us Monday, November 17, 2025 from 10am until you are finished! Lunch break at noon(ish). Class includes instruction, classroom supplies, pattern & kit. You will need to bring a working sewing machine, thread and basic sewing supplies. If you do not have a sewing machine, we have them available for rent for an additional $20 fee. (Thread not included)
